KLAMERT & PARTNER — Law Firm in Munich since 1987

KLAMERT & PARTNER is a law firm in Munich located at Pettenkoferstraße 37, near Theresienwiese. We advise private individuals—including employers and landlords, those who need to organize their assets, or those who find themselves in the role of the injured party or the accused. Over the past two decades, we have handled thousands of cases in courts in Munich, Bavaria, and throughout Germany—personally accessible, legally meticulous, and uncompromising in litigation.
What sets our law firm in Munich apart is the combination of depth and breadth. In traffic law alone, we have handled more than 10,000 cases over the past decade—ranging from traffic violation proceedings and accident settlements to the diesel and emissions scandal, in which we represented thousands of affected vehicle owners against the major manufacturers. In total, we provide advice in eight areas of law—labor law, traffic law, investment law, inheritance law, tenancy law, criminal law, immigration law, and general civil law—all from a single source whenever possible. Anyone who calls us about an accident can also receive advice on inheritance, termination of employment, or residency issues under one roof.

We provide legal advice in German, English, Ukrainian, Russian, and Portuguese—through our Ukrainian- and Russian-speaking attorney Denys Osypenko and other multilingual colleagues—while legal responsibility for client matters always rests with the licensed attorneys at our firm. In the following sections, you will find information about our attorneys, our history, and the philosophy that has guided our work at KLAMERT & PARTNER for decades.

Markus Klamert

My name is Markus Klamert. Admitted to the bar in 1994, I founded KLAMERT & PARTNER after working for over a decade at one of Germany’s leading law firms specializing in banking and investment law—handling approximately 6,500 cases during that time. Today, I advise private individuals, family offices, financial service providers, municipalities, and companies on business law, investment law, and labor law, as well as consumer protection and immigration law. I avoid litigation whenever possible—but when necessary, I pursue it with the necessary tenacity.

Marc Frey

Attorney • Partner

My name is Marc Frey. I am an attorney specializing in civil law, particularly consumer law and complex class-action cases. I have been with the law firm KLAMERT & PARTNER for over eleven years, and have served as a partner since April 2015. During this time, I have represented several thousand clients—many of whom were in situations where they didn’t know what to do next. When claims are at stake, it is rarely just about legal provisions. It is about lost money, frustration, and the feeling of having no real chance against large corporations or insurance companies. This is precisely where I see my role: I provide guidance, take responsibility, and ensure that uncertainty gives way to clarity. My goal is not conflict at any cost, but a lasting result.

I am not a licensed attorney in Germany—the licensed attorneys at our firm bear legal responsibility for your case. My role is to serve as a bridge: I listen to your case in your language, provide legal context for documents from your home country, make official decisions understandable, and prepare your strategy together with the attorney handling your case. Before moving to Munich, I spent over two decades working in Ukraine’s business and legal sectors—as a prosecutor, head of several legal departments, and a company founder.

The team behind the team

A law firm doesn’t run on lawyers alone. At KLAMERT & PARTNER, a well-coordinated team of legal assistants, administrative staff, and back-office personnel ensures that your case runs smoothly—from the initial appointment to the final enforcement step. Here, files aren’t just managed—they’re actively maintained: deadlines are monitored before they become critical, pleadings are ready to be typed the moment the attorney needs them, and questions are answered before you have to ask them a second time. Anyone who has ever dealt with a law firm whose secretarial staff is overwhelmed knows what a difference this makes.

In concrete terms, this means: Our legal assistants are experts in their field—file management, beA correspondence with courts and government agencies, billing under the RVG and GNotKG, monitoring deadlines in accordance with the FAO, debt collection proceedings, and enforcement. In most cases, they are your first point of contact—on the phone, via email, or at the reception desk on Pettenkoferstraße—and they are the ones who remind you the day before your court date which documents are still missing. Meanwhile, the back office handles accounting, data protection, IT, and file archiving—unassuming tasks, but essential to ensuring that our firm operates just as precisely today as it did on day one.
The relationship between lawyers and staff at our firm is not hierarchical, but based on a division of labor. When you call KLAMERT & PARTNER, you don’t reach an anonymous switchboard, but someone who knows your case—or can find it in the file within minutes. This isn’t a service promise, but our work culture. And it is precisely this culture that is the reason why many of our employees have been with us for many years.

Law Firm in Munich near Theresienwiese - KLAMERT & PARTNER

Digital Law Firm,
personal consultation

We see ourselves as a law firm that combines the best of both worlds: personal interaction with the digital efficiency that clients rightly expect today. At KLAMERT & PARTNER, the client onboarding process begins online—via our contact form or our digital onboarding process, which collects the most important information in a structured way so that the initial consultation begins with your case, not with filling out forms. Those who prefer a face-to-face meeting can visit us on Pettenkoferstraße. Those who need flexibility can schedule their appointment via video consultation—without compromising on quality and without the wasted half-day that traveling to Munich sometimes entails.

We manage our case files using cloud-based law firm software hosted in Germany and fully compliant with the GDPR—encrypted document transfer, separate client portals,
access logging. We communicate with courts and government agencies via the beA (special electronic attorney mailbox), which ensures legally compliant and rapid correspondence as a matter of course—deadlines are thus documented not just in the mailbox but within the case management system. As a client, you receive fee invoices, file releases, and status updates digitally—and, upon request, in summary form via regular reports if your case spans several months or involves multiple court instances.

What we deliberately choose not to digitize is the legal judgment. A complaint is not drafted within the tool, but in the lawyer’s mind. A strategy is not calculated by an algorithm, but developed through a thorough analysis of your specific situation. For us, digitization is a tool that accelerates the craftsmanship of our work, not a replacement for it—and one that takes the burden off you as a client without reducing you to a mere user of a software interface.

Your digital law firm offering personalized advice in Munich

Our office at
Pettenkoferstraße

Our office is located at Pettenkoferstraße 37, 80336 Munich—in the historic hospital district of Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt, just a short walk from Theresienwiese, Sendlinger Tor, and the main train station. We are housed in a classic old Munich building, with high ceilings, stucco, and natural light—a true blessing in this city. The atmosphere suits the profession: quiet, dignified, yet informal.

We are just a few minutes away by subway—the U4 and U5 stop right at Theresienwiese, the U3 and U6 at Goetheplatz, and the lines serving the Sendlinger Tor and Hauptbahnhof areas bring clients from all parts of Munich and the surrounding region to us in no time. We’re also easy to reach by car; parking is available on Pettenkoferstraße and in the surrounding underground garages.

Legal advice is a matter of trust, and trust requires the right setting. Our meeting rooms are designed so that even sensitive matters—such as impending bankruptcy, a difficult inheritance dispute, or criminal proceedings involving a family member—are handled with the necessary confidentiality. Anyone who walks through our door should not find themselves in an open-plan office with glass walls, but in a room where they can speak freely about matters they would not want to share with anyone else. This commitment—a discreet location, a personal welcome, a historic Munich building—has been part of our identity on Pettenkoferstraße for decades.
